Strings Magazine grants one $3,000 scholarship to a string student each year based on financial need, academic merit, and community service.

To be eligible for a Strings Magazine Award, you must play the violin, viola, cello, or bass. Student must demonstrate financial need, academic merit, and a record of community service. Applicants may be enrolled and majoring in music performance or music education at any degree-granting college or conservatory.

Applications are available on the strings website. Applicants must also submit two written references including one from his/her current instrumental instructor or professor.
